The wheeled dynamic probe rig is used generally where the access is too difficult using the crawler rigs. The wheeled rig is manoeuvred by hand and can access the most confined spaces.
The rig's drop weight is configured to heavy dynamic probe and is often used on properties that are suffering from settlement to determine the depth to competent strata for mini piling.
The dynamic probe can be substituted for sample tubes, although sampling with this rig is less effective than with the tracked rigs.
